This is one of the most bizzarre multiest terrain races in UK. The entry field of 2000 is fully taken within 2 weeks of applications being opened each year and all around the course there are joke, bands, bag pipers and stupid sayings / signs.

The course is also very physically demanding with a 2 mile shingle beach section to start, then there are knee deep bogs, you climb up and down the cliff paths.. big steep hills, running on sand, through streams and 10 yards up a river... totally Awesome event.

This year the caption was "Insanity and in Health"... and I finished in 113th position out of 1700 starters.
