New Bedford Half Marathon
New Bedford is almost 2 hours drive from where I live so was able to drive down early in the morning of the race. The weather was below freezing most of the day, reaching 34 degrees during the afternoon but with a very light breeze with clear blue skies. The course is incredibly fast, just 2 small hills.. one at 3 miles and one at 12 miles with many miles of very gentle downhill or flat roads to run on. Part of the course followed the ocean and quite scenic. The weather was below freezing most of the day, reaching 34 degrees during the afternoon but with a very light breeze with clear blue skies. If I hadn't been working hard on college work every day and actually trained properly (didn't run at all since Clinton 30K 2 weeks earlier) then this course could be good for setting a PB and getting well below the 1H 30, and next year I would like to set the goal of 1H20 or less for this event. Also need to lose 20 pounds gained over last 12 months. The race Route
