Finished in 21st place out of 40 experienced fell runners. This event consists of navigating through  controls, which are given as grid references and feature notation the night before each day.

The event was held in the Lake district and 98% of the course was on open fells. In the valleys and lower slopes, the ground is like sponge to run in, your feet sinking into the soft mosses and brackens.

The scenery was gorgeous, most of the controls were summits of mountains and the views were superb... day 1 turned wet and foggy early in the afternoon and day 2 was cloudy with patches of drizzle, but the shorter day 3 was clear blue sky. I was very worried day 1 and 2 about pushing too hard as there were other days to follow, but day 3 was fine and did a good time...

It is a very laid back friendly event and it was a real pleasure to compete and complete the 3 day course although my navifation leaves much to be desired.
